Here we see the schonner "Lester" preparing for sail She is an Atlantic Challenge open schooner that was a gift from Atlantic Challenge USA. The type of schooner is a "Cowhorn". It is a replica of a workboat common in Maine during the early 1800's. A very pretty craft of wide beam and great load carrying capacity, and not bad performance under sail as well.
