The Island turned out perfect for our camp. On a lot of these islands and the mainland too, there is very little soil or sand on which to pitch your tent. We preferred flat rocks anyway and then found heavy rocks to tie it down with. Just look at the shape of the canoe, nothing quite like it, or as beautiful.
